Gluten Free Lip Gloss Giveaway

Welcome to Naturally Dah'ling!

I created Naturally Dah'ling after learning about the lack of regulation on ingredients that go into the beauty products that we literally bathe ourselves in every day. I wanted to find the most natural and most effective products available.

So when I was diagnosed as severely gluten intolerant, it was a natural choice for me to raid my make-up bag to ensure that all of my products were also gluten-free. Of course, this took many months of researching ingredients, contacting manufacturers, and buying/ trying product after product.

Now that I have a firm list of my absolute favorite--can't live without--natural and gluten-free products, I am sharing them with you! No one should have to buy 10 mascaras to find the one that is the purest and most effective. Or purchase six shampoos to find one that doesn't irritate and performs like a professional.

I hope that you'll enjoy these products as much as I do!

Here's What's New!

Gluten Free Beauty's Cover MeI believe that what goes into the products that we put onto our skin should be of the utmost purity. And believe it or not, in one particular case that means choosing what's "safe" over what's "natural." The cosmetic ingrediet to which I am referring, is pigment.

This week a powerful new educational tool was launched, SlaveryFootprint.org, which helps teach us about some of the inhumane methods by which some of the ingredients that go into every day consumer products are sourced. For instance naturally occuring micas, which lend vibrant colors and shine to mineral makeup products are mined my children in India. Sythetic micas can be used as an alternative, but with no current way to distinguish whether a product contains natural or synthetic micas, the better alternative is cosmetic grade iron oxides.

In accordance with FDA regulations, cosmetic grade iron oxides must be lab-produced to ensure purity. Plus, only minute quantities of richly colored iron oxides are needed for pigmenting cosmetic products. So all in all, cosmetic grade iron oxides (which are not mined, but lab-created) are the safer and more ethical choice, and that is why I use them exclusively in my own Gluten Free Beauty product line.
